I was looking at satellite pics and it looked like Quivera and 319th. might be interesting? I was thinking about leaving about 9:00'ish from South Olathe.

Most likely, I will not be able to join you, but...

For what it's worth guys, here is a route I've been working on. It's Franklin & Miami Counties. The route is not done, but it is a mostly complete loop. It is long, though. Right now, it is 180 miles. I plan to turn it into several smaller sections that can be pieced together as time and desire warrant.

http://www.marengo-ltd.com/map2/index.php?route=1404

It hits a LOT of the minimum maintenance sections as shown on the KDOT maps. I also used the satellite imagery to confirm some spots. It has a lot of min maint dead ends to check out and possible creek crossings. It does include the abandoned Paola Bridge--which you've already seen now, kchusky.

The very northern sections are simply to get out of and back into the KC metro--you can easily change those parts to fit your starting/ending point.

Bring these maps along with you:

Or, probably better to get safiri's zip file as he has all the KS county maps and has cropped the legends out of some to allow you to easily print a larger version:

Tried to open the file. But it said file was damaged and wouldn't open. Anyone else try?

I checked out Troy's route and way point 86 is about six miles from way point 46 of my working route. Huge water ride (Spencer's point)! My way point 40 also has a really neat forest ride.

We definitely have a connect the dot between Troys route and my northern section.
