Anybody riding tomorrow 6/29?

Post by kendall_smith »

I know it's short notice, but is anyone planning on riding tomorrow? Maybe a dual sport loop out of the KC area.

I think the weather is supposed to be nice too.

How early are you going? I've got about a half hours work to do to the BMW and I could be ready to go.....

Nice pic, Savage! Is that out around Tuttle? It looks familiar.

Chris and I had a decent ride on Saturday on our Leavenworth/Atchison area loop. Unfortunately, it appeared that the counties had been out doing their maintenance recently and even the minimum maintenance roads were perfectly groomed with some sort of new gravel/chipped-up asphalt combo spread on the roads. Other than that, it was super windy and dusty, but still better than not riding at all.

 You guys looked like you were on a mission, so Chris and I didn't want to interrupt.

That was definitely the smoothest I've ever seen the river road.

I thought that looked familiar. I remember they repaved a lot of those roads out there back when my wife and I lived in Riley back in '06.

We were taking the long way to Omaha.

One the way back, through Iowa, we stopped at a place Chris would recognized.

There is some fun riding in SW Iowa:
