2012 MOA Rally

Pull up a couch. It's cool in the Lounge. Just remember to be a good neighbor.

2012 MOA Rally

Post by Foster »

So, I just stumbled upon this through an email I received and I got all excited. Then I found out that whether you attend for a day or the whole event the price is the same. Americade was a steal in comparison. So, my question is, is it worth it for my wife and I at $100 just to get in the gate Saturday? I am considering it but just not sure.

I don't know if it's worth it or not, but I imagine it would be a good time. I'd like to go, but like you, not for $100 just for Sat or even Sat & Sun. The event started Sun night when guys arrived at Byrd's Adventure Center near Oark, AR. They are doing 2 or 3 days riding down there then making their way up to Sedalia.

100+ degree, humid Sedalia does not sound like my idea of great fun on a motorcycle, but...

My brother, KC, bought a house and I might head out to Manhattan to help him move this weekend...that also sounds like lots of fun in 100+ degree weather. 8)

Hey Foster, I'm going for Thurs, Fri, and Sat. Haven't been to one of these, so I'm gonna find out if it's worth it!

I signed up for this...

It is not $100 for the GSGiant. The 100 was if you went to the gypsy tour in Arkansas. That is where I am now. Btw 100 is a deal for 3 dinners 3 breakfast camping and today's educational program on bike control was great.

Chris: That looks like a blast! You will have to let me know how it is! If I could get off the extra days I would love to have gone down to Sedalia for the entire rally. That looks like quite an experience! I'm jealous!

Eddie, I got those numbers from the website I gave a link to but I must have misread something. So how much would it be for me wife and I to get in for JUST Saturday or Friday night and Saturday? We are not members and it looks to me like that was $50 per person. I would LOVE to hear that I have that wrong though because I would for sure come down then! Fingers crossed that I am wrong.

Troy: I do NOT envy your moving plans. Your brother had better be buying you all sorts of cold beverages of your choosing. You are a good guy for helping him in this heat. He owes you big!

I prepaid for rally. I think it was 40. It may be 50 at gate per person.
