I'm scheduled to have surgrey on my shoulder next month and depending on what they have to do I will be out 4-6 months
I tried not to have surgrey through aggressive PT, but it is just not working. I was thinking during my eval with the surgeon that I wasn't going to have it done. Then he pressed on a part of my shoulder and I came up out of the chair and some colorful words came out. He smiled and said that he saved that for last and when did I want to schedule my surgrey
Since this is my right shoulder and I'm right handed. Troy will be putting together a list of volunteers to help me with my activites of daily living. I'm trying to come up with a name for the group the "helping hands" or the "wiping crew"
Hope to be back on the bike by May!

Before you head into surgery, be sure to use a permanent marker to write "DO NOT CUT" on your tally-whacker. Mistakes happen! We gave this same advice to safiri before his recent hernia surgery. It worked because all reports indicate the tally-whacker is intact.
The "wiping crew"....hmmm.....me thinks you'd better just learn to use that left hand, buddy. I know I said, "I'm here for you", but there are some parameters around that statement. When I said, "I'd like to get to know you better", I did not mean THAT well.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Re: Out for a while....
Hank, I had to have my right shoulder done last April and it is now much better than it was before, while trying the PT.
I had the same issue your are faced with. You may want to try my approach.
I figured if I made a big enough mess on the seat and in my shorts, the wife would just volunteer to help out. Try this and let us know how it works for you.
I can tell you I had to buy new shorts!!!!!!!!!!!!
Take care,
and
Merry Christmas to all

Man that sucks......but it could be worse!
I hope ya heal soon.
I'm in a helping mood and feeling pretty low for your husky, so I better take him out to the track for a few days. Thats something I can volunteer for in your scooters time of neglect.

Anything with wheels is inherently dangerous. If you are concerned about your safety & well-being, I suggest walking, as a safe alternative

Buy yourself a bidet, as I doubt you get any volunteers!
Sorry to read that PT isn't working and that surgery is required.

Heck my dog just rubs her butt across the carpet... I hear shag works best! Good luck with the shoulder, you'll be out and about in no time.
