South side of 152 West of I-35, behind the 54th Street Bar & Grill and some bank on the corner. Look for the windmill.

I'm glad to see the response to my post about the MATT Trials. I'm sorry I won't be able to make it this year. I've had an emergency in the family which will require me to stay close to home.
All of you who are going , I'm sure will enjoy this event.
Have a safe ride!!

275 miles total for me today. Kevin & I had a great time. The route up and back was fun. We took a longer route up and so were able to enjoy more twisty pavement through some beautiful country.

The trials were a blast. Kevin has a lot of photos to post soon. The trials guys are the nicest people around. They just love to share their sport and make you feel welcome. Their quarry headquarters has some great trails!

Crowder State Park is adjacent to the quarry. Kevin & I'd had never been there, so we checked out the park & campgrounds. The park has a small lake. It's a really nice park. For our area, it's one of the most beautiful parks around and the facilities looked to be in excellent condition.

Along the route up to Trenton, we saw a LOT of very minimum maintenance roads, so it would be fun to explore the area on my Husky TE450 instead of my VStrom. Part of my route ended up being gravel and even one nice section of minimum maintenance with a creek crossing that luckily had pavement in it or it would have been a turn-around.

On the way back, Kevin took me to Jamesport where we had lunch. I have to admit, I'd never heard of Jamesport and was not aware of the big Amish community up there. It's a wonderful little town with lots of Amish owned and inspired shops. The Gingerich Dutch Pantry's buffet was FANTASTIC. REAL home cooking and everything is fresh and most-likely local. I want to go back for breakfast and dinner tomorrow! Jamesport celebrates "Heritage Day" this coming Saturday. (9/27)

Hmmm....mostly gravel & dirt route up to Trenton, watch some Trials riding, camp at Crowder, eat a fantastic lunch in Jamesport, then head home. The Holt Hill Climbs are along that way, too, so a guy could really make a great moto-weekend out of it. (It would be 2 really long days of gravel!)

Thanks for posting the photos, Kevin! I didn't take my camera, but Kevin took his video and still cameras. So I took most of the stills and he took lots of video. I got a few good shots in there that show how difficult the obstacles are.
