I definitely want to. However, I'm whipping my house in shape to be put on the market, http://www.7027hickory.com. I also have to compete in a disc golf tournament as part of the KC Corporate Challenge events.

I keep thinking about a ride up north to Squaw Creek Wildlife Refuge. This is probably not the best time to be there for, Eagle watching, but what the heck.
It's just south of Mound City, MO. The Refuge is at exit 79 of I-29. I have looked at the roads near the river from St Joe on up? If the dirt roads are a mess, this could be a great gravel and blacktop ride. This could also be a route for the ride I posted for May 10th, but it would be a long day.

That is the general area I was thinking about as well. I enjoy riding around the Riverbreaks Area in Holt County http://mdc4.mdc.mo.gov/applications/moa ... txtUserID= . In that area you can also ride on top of the MO River levee. I have wanted to see how far north along the levee someone can ride. Here are some pics from a past ride. http://picasaweb.google.com/ajayhawkfan/2OctTripsNOfKC

I see you are in Smithville, I'm near the plaza. What do you think about meeting in Platte City and then shooting up the interstate to the area just north of St. Joe (41 miles) to start exploring? Would meeting around 10 at the Quick Trip work?

I would like to ride most of the day. Is there a time you need to get back?

Does anyone else have an interest?

10AM at Platte City QT.

I have been working on a general route that ends up in Smithville. It is rough but should do. Drop me an email and I'll send it to you if interested. You might also send your phone number. My email is ajayhawkfan @ Yahoo. com.

See you Sunday.

If there are a number of riders from KS we could ride up the MO side and back on KS. I'm game for anything.

Eddie, I'm in but I would rather meet up with you in St Joe. For me going to Plate City is an extra 15 miles plus, I really don't want to ride 40 miles of interstate on my 400. US169 north is just 30 miles for me where it crosses I-29, at exit 44.
If, "The Harm" and you leave the QT in Plate City shortly after 10:00, I can meet you in St Joe at exit 44 or further north if need be. I will send you a pm with email and phone info.
As far as I know, I have all day to ride

I think they are having a race on May 4, but I think the park will open at 11AM. I am going to ride at St Joe tomorrow May 3. Chad

Maybe this is a good time to get something cleared up for me. Many times during the last few years, I've heard people mention off-road style riding and "St. Joe" in the same sentence. In my research, I don't see anything near St. Joseph, MO (NW of Kansas City) that qualifies. However, there is a "St. Joe" in Illinois just S of St. Louis that has an off-road area with MX-track.

So Chadman, what "St. Joe" are you referring to. I know the discussion that ajayhawkfan and kware are having is regarding St. Joseph, MO, affectionately known as "St. Joe".

I appreciate clearing this up once and for all! :)

In St Louis we refer to St Joe as St Joe State Park close to Park Hills MO. It's one of the close places we have to ride without a far drive. Chad

Thanks for clearing that up Troy. I've read about the St. Joe Riding Park, but never been there.
For conversation purposes, there used to be a MX Track in St. Joesph MO. It was still running a couple years ago. It is called Kobbie Hills?

Anyway, It looks like there may be four of us riding up to and north of St. Joesph tomorrow.

Thanks for the great ride today, Eddie. I had the shortest day at just over 200 miles. Hope the three of you continued to have a good ride.
Here are the few pics I took at the broken bridge and of you and "The Harm" riding.
Hope to ride with you guys again.
