Council Grove Routes

Post by The Harm »

I will be camping at Coucil Grove this weekend and was wondering if anyone had any routes from the Flint hills stampede?? It was pretty rainy last year so I didn't get to ride as much as I would have liked and would like to do at least one of the routes if anybody still has the routes saved

I have the 2006 tracks:

The route/track to Cassoday is one I plotted out as the 2006 stampede was the weekend of the first Sunday of the month. Troy, Hayden, and I rode from CG down to Cass. Troy and I rode back via a slightly different route. We did have to open (and then close) a semipermanent gate at one point on the way down. Just before point 200.

Edit: I forgot the save the track from the Saturday ride, but the routes are there. The Friday ride was an impromptu ride with Luc, Troy, Dave H, and some others. We had a good time. That was the day Luc had quite a few flats.

Edit 2: The road one mile north of 56 to the W of CG has some nice minimum maint. sections. Easy to get to.

We had a blast this weekend!!! I did use some of the routes that Safiri provided and did alot of improvising along the way. It was also Kamp Kansas meet at Canning Creek!! There were lots of older single axle campers from the 60's people had fixed up and were showing off! We stayed in my brothers 1962 Shasta camper I'll try and post some pics tonight!!
