Cooper Creek ATV area

Post by flashstromer »

Anyone ever ride the Cooper Creek ATV area? Looks like it would be fun and educational at the same time. Great place for riders to buff up on dirt, sand, gravel, mud, uneven terrain in a closed in area. About 400 acres of various challenges.
Opportunities usually show up in work clothes and get ignored by the masses.

Just south of Clinton, MO...about an hour southeast of KC Metro. Follow Hwy 7 to Clinton 45 miles, then Hwy 13 to Deepwater 6 miles. Your there.

Okay, I've ridden there. Didn't know it was called Copper Creek.
Deepwater is a better name for the times that I've been there.

I have always heard of it as deepwater also. Its either deep mud or deep dust. The place is fun if you have a fourwheeler, on a bike its not to challenging except for LOTS of mud. They closed most of the hard stuff wich was next to the lake where we would stop and swim when it was hot. On a DS I would only stop there if I were going by the place, I wouldnt plan a trip down there on a DS, but thats just me. Randolf in Manhatten is a larger area with more to offer and would make a better trip IMO.

It's a fun place. I went there when I got into 4x4's back in 97?? Don't think vehicles are allowed there anymore for good reasons.

Not so fun on a KLR though.

I ride there when I had my Raptor 660 a TON!!! That place is a blast on 4 wheels or a MX bike. I broke two ribs and dislocated my thumb and slowed down quite a bit and have not been there in a couple years or more.

Everyone is correct about Deepwater. A lot of ATVs with the beer drinking, not wearing a helmet, hauling the old lady around types. If you are into that this is your place.
