Greenhoot's gay avatar
We are normally a very tolerant group, but I think Chris Greenhoot's avatar choice has pushed the envelope on decency too far. It's time for our community to take a stand against such abominations!
I apologize for posting the image below, but believe it or not, this is the avatar that Chris has chosen. It's a sad day at RideForum.NET.

Dude. I can't believe that somebody who is forever preaching "More Cowbell!" is trying to score points on this Board by disrespecting my sweet little Sally. That pooch is no lazy lapdog. She's a gritty gravel traveller. Wait till I show up with her perched on my rear rack. Then you will know. She can ride. Show some respect. Bring some kibbles.

However, everybody knows that the cow bell is the international symbol for macho manliness.tim wrote:Dude's got a pointGreenboots wrote:Dude. I can't believe that somebody who is forever preaching "More Cowbell!" is trying to score points on this Board
Does that mutt wear the cute, blue ribbon when riding the gravel?

Troy's Avatar
I think your avatar should be zapped. Its frentic, incessantly repetitive & jumpy spectacle reminds me of those yellow bobbing birds you used to see in the back windows of clapped-out Chrysler New Yorkers and Lincoln Imperials as they wobbled down the roads with their tales of broken hearts and transmissions. I would suggest something with a little class, Troy, like a dog that looks like a dust mop.

KC?! Not my own brother! Man, I'm gonna have to start a new forum website. This one has become the rainbow connection.KC wrote:Correct me if I am wrong, but that looks like a properly groomed Lhasa Apso. We own one but keep his hair cut short in the summer because he'll start pulling it out when it gets long. Lhasas were orginally bred for ancient Chinese royalty. That's not so gay is it??
Yeah, Ian...your avatar is flaming.

Here is a brief history of the Lhasa Apso breed:

P.S. I'm just standing up for the rich heritage of the Lhasa Apso breed of dog, not Chris's gay avatar! (sorry Chris)

Let me be the first to speak publicly in support of Troy's new Rainbow avatar. It is a like breath of fresh air, or maybe rich exhaust. I see all the colors of the diverse Dual Sport Nation represented: Red, Blue, Yellow, Green and the beloved Orange. Troy, you are an inspiration, a Uniter, a visionary. The fearsome Sally barks her approval, too, in Chinese.
