Actually since Forward Motion classes are based on rider speed percentile and age, your 1200 fits in all classes.ajayhawkfan wrote:I'm not competing, no category for a 1200.
I rode the Saturday event last year, and raced it on Sunday. PK is correct the entire course isn't exactly tight single track, there are some wide high speed sections, and some tighter slower speed sections that a four wheeler might have difficulty making it through. The course is normally arrowed and ribboned so that everyone is going the same direction. On Saturday I have seen a number of parents riding with their kids on CRF 50's 70's etc, the course isn't the most challenging.

Here's a couple youtube vids of Big Springs. BS is probably one of the most fun courses around as it flows very well. It's not a difficult course but that all depends on what pace you try to carry. It's a great course to trail ride. Has a cool enduro-X section.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKBnL6QCPpg 2014 C-Vet class
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrBHkXTO-M0 2016 AA class PRO class, serious speed here
1st race = 600's to 1200's - starts at 11:00.
2nd race = 100's to 500's and 1000's- starts at 2:00.
This is a split race meaning they start certain classes at 11am and the balance at 2pm. If a person wanted to ride the "FUN" class or the 900 class, (aka "beginner" class), they would be on the track with most of the slower classes.
The 2nd race is AA thru the 5's, and also the 10's (Senior class).
PK puts on a good event. If we get good weather the turnout should be big with the big pro payout. A fun event to spectate or ride.
