Got out New Year's day to slam around the very tight woods (7.1 mile extremely tight hare scramble track) on my KTM 300 XC. Great day for riding! The next day turned nasty and now we have snow and single digit temps. Kansas winters.

Re: Post pics or video from your ride today
Thanks guys! Yup Troy that was the corse but it was low 40's and raining during the race. It was by far the hardest race I have ever done. It was a kind of knock out race.
The first race was a 2hr hare scramble that you had to do 2 laps on a 9 mile corse. It had a normal hare scramble start, dead engine with class rows starting 1 min apart. I finished 24th out of 89, only 36 qualified completing 2 laps to go to the hotlap race in the afternoon. They let anyone who had completed a lap race the hot lap since so few qualified.
In the afternoon race they added 30 preseeded pro riders that raced the hotlap. It was only 7 miles but they added some more extreme hill climbs and difficult sections. Since it was a hotlap riders were started live engine 30secs apart. I finished in 53rd place and qualified for the pro race on sunday! I got help 4 times on sat, 3 times in the morning race. Once on a hardline on a hillclimb to pass some people who were stuck on the easy line. I got the front end over the last ledge but a spectator helped grab and shove my rear tire over it with me, I wasn't gonna turn down help! I also got help on the same hill all 3 laps I did it that day...it was nasty. I knew after the hotlap race I was done racing. There was no way I was gonna race sunday and tear my body and my bike up. I had pushed to the top of my capability and was happy with the results.
Sunday had 3 races with each getting harder and shorter. Oh and no outside assistance! The first 2 races on sunday was dead engine starting in rows of 5 based on saturdays hotlap time 30 sec apart. It was about 5 miles and even more extreme sections. I would have been on row 11 of 13. We walked to the last hill and waited for the riders. It took 1 hr and 15min for the first riders to make that lap. Only 3 riders made 2 laps. Only 30 of the 62 starting made it a lap. The last guy to complete a lap had a time of 3hrs 25mins 18secs to go 5 miles.
At this point the weather was looking worse so we started loading up for the 8hr drive home. I had 2 goals for this race. The first was to qualify for the afternoon hotlap race and the second was beat my buddy that came down there with me! The fact I qualified for an AMA Extreme Enduro Pro race was way past what I thought I could do. It will definitely become on of my bench racing stories of lore. And yes I was able to beat my buddy who races the B +30 class. He didn't finish his hotlap, but he does have a picture that will forever be remembered. I will say that he walked away and has said that he is just really sore. The pic is in the following article and he was riding the Husky.

Wow! Great story. If that is your buddy falling off the back of that Husky--that looks PAINFUL! Look how tiny the people in the photo are--that's a STEEP hill!

Yup! That's my buddy Trinedy sending his bike to orbit. I'm one of the tiny people at the bottom of the hill. This fail was his 2nd or 3rd attempt on the hill. I had caught up to him because he started 2min 30sec ahead of me. I have go pro of it but I don't look up with my head enough...it shows him going up the hill right into a raindrop on the screen. The last thing you hear is me saying "OH F@#$ TRINEDY!''. Then my battery on go pro dies. I'm the orange helmet and gear with white bark busters on KTM at the bottom.
