Scott's family could use your help.

Pull up a couch. It's cool in the Lounge. Just remember to be a good neighbor.

Scott's family could use your help.

Post by ajayhawkfan »

Many of you know Scott at Freedom Cycle. He has given presentations to our group and allowed us to meet at Freedom a number of times. What you may not know is his son, Ashton, has had numerous heart surgeries and is recooperating in Children's Mercy Hospital from his latest. The family needs help with their bills. More information can be found here: http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/1105557/

I met Ashton this spring and he is a really good kid. Please help the family out if you can.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Eddie. Wow. I don't know Scott all that well, but from what I can tell he is a generous, humble guy who does not hesitate to give back to the rider community. Ashton's tissue disorder sounds VERY serious.

Scott has always been willing to give his time to help the TAR group. I don't know if anybody remembers, but Scott brought his son to one of his TAR presentations at Freedom. My impression was that he is a great kid.

Thanks for sharing this Eddie. I talked to Scott at Freedom about a week ago and had no idea this was going on with his son.

I stopped by the hospital and visited Ashton and Sandi. I only was there for a few minutes to say "hi" and tell them he has been in our prayers. I also offered our house if he wanted to stay overnight there. Sandi is sleeping in the hospital room and Scott is staying the night at the Ronald McDonald House.

They were told they will be in the Hospital for Thanksgiving.
