finally got most of the farkles on the ADV R and need a good 1-2 day trip.
I was wondering if there was a fun/interesting (maybe not to smart) of a track to ride along the Missouri river from KC out to Herman?
planning a shake down ride
Re: planning a shake down ride
I don't really have one. But here is some ideas...
Easley MO (on the river away from Columbia) - great place to right on the river to camp, beer, Thai food and local folk bands on Friday, Saturday. Also nice rough gravel and good scenic river roads, love riding in that area. Oldest tree in Mo. Great tent spot on the river with full service (showers even) for the Katy Trail. You could ride through Lex, Waverly,Blackwater,Arrow Rock, Rochport, Franklin, Easley,..basically follow the river to Hermann and do whatever.
Swinging Bridges tracks that go below the Lake area (see advrider)http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/m ... 5.1045074/
PBHR 2015 if your a good rider and don't mind going further south I highly recommend Saturday's tracks down by Salem, but you could do the upper one Sunday's as its mostly easy stuff and pavement.http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/p ... o.1054693/ Saturday's was great but unless your comfortable with alot of stream crossings, two track, mud holes around blind corners and one "bring a saw" trail...and if your a really good rider you can do some of "got something to prove" optional sections and test your knee pads & crash bars and visit with 2 strokers.
Have fun!
