Yep. KLR's are such low performance, I mean maintenance, machines that they don't need much oil to keep running. I'm always well aware of my carbon footprint.
Interesting way to extend your skid plate. So is there an interesting story behind that short skid plate, does it come from the factory that way, or is it borrowed from another bike??
Its the cheapo stocker skid plate. I've bottom out a few times and have yet to break it so it's good enough for gravel riding. The stock oil drain screw hangs down a lot. I installed a low-pro magnetic one a couple years ago, but was still worried in case I caught it just right. So the tag will keep it from getting snagged just right.
Welcome to the forum! GoPro is the worst for making something really challenging look like a backyard. Savage does a really good job with his videos! No picture will ever be as good as being there.
PS. I subscribe to your youtube Savage, there I'm 713Motoracer
Anything with wheels is inherently dangerous. If you are concerned about your safety & well-being, I suggest walking, as a safe alternative

Me and the fam got in some great riding this afternoon. They were pulling hills they've never had the guts to try before. My daughter crashed early on and landed on her scabbed knee. She was crying and was done for the day. Ten minutes later and she was ready for more.
SO MUCH FUN being able to enjoy this with them!
