Kind of last moment, but thinking about a ride over north of Columbia, MO. Leave early in the am, and ride till "enough". I've never been there, so not sure what it's all about.
I have room for one more bike, just bringing the little pickup. Live out in the odessa, mo area, so leaving from around there. My bike is not plated (wr450), so just a dirt bike ride.
Anyone interested?
July 3rd - Finger Lakes State Park
Re: July 3rd - Finger Lakes State Park
I haven't been there in a couple of years - here is a link to Finger Lakes State Park https://mostateparks.com/park/finger-lakes-state-park
I don't know how much rain that area has had lately, but I strongly recommend a good set of mud tires. You may want to call ahead and talk to a ranger to see what condition the park is in. The majority of trails there are two track atv trails with some surprisingly deep mud holes.
Let us know how your ride goes.

I haven't been there in years and would be interested in an update of the rising conditions if you went. Especially comparing it to itself from 15-20 years ago. That was probably the last time I went there.

Re: July 3rd - Finger Lakes State Park
We'll, I chickened out....
Went to "Oakland" instead. I have ridden enough "frost out of the ground" up north to have a healthy dose of deep and bottomless holes/mud respect. So much respect as to just leave it alone. Lol. The posting above and some digging around on the net all seemed to point at a lot of mud. Am fine missing that..
While Oakland seemed decent, it did just rain the previous evening and everything had a nice slick layer on top. Some areas where nice, but others where a bit greasy. Mid afternoon things dried up decent. Lots of over growth on the trails back by the river.
Met a nice guy out there on a ktm 250exc I think it was. He seemed to know all the good spots where quads hadn't made a big mess. Two thumbs up for that and letting me follow him around
I can answer any questions on Oakland though.

Thanks for the report! I STILL have never ridden Oakland.
