690 break in this Saturday 5/30

Picked up a new 690 last weekend and planning on a long Saturday ride on backroads if anyone is interested. I will leave out of nkc and was thinking of going into northern missouri since i usually travel all other directions. Rain gear is recommended but optional. I like to leave early 6 or 7 and get a good breakfast first.

I've never ridden one, nor do I ever want to! Who would want KLR comfort with MX 450 power with the twist of the throttle? I'm afraid the trusty ole KLR might get sold if I would to ride one.

Thanks Troy. I might head that way. I was at the last BMW rally in Branson about a month ago. It was an amazing ride on the mts 1200 through ark. but there was a low turn out due to the predicted rain which never became a big problem.
Of course rain should just make the 690 more fun.
Savage, I understand the KLR thing. I blew the rings/cylinder two times in my 2008 before giving it away. It defiantly has its appeal for some. I actually headed down to freedom to look at the new KLR but accidentally left with the 690. Wow its awesome!! Worlds better than the klr. Come on along and take it for a ride, in fact its just a few more drops from becoming part of the pack.

Breakfast will be at Kate's kitchen on North oak at 7 am. If no one shows up I will bring the wife. She doesn't like to associate with rough motorcycle gangs.
