I ordered size Large, but this thing is almost form-fitting! Way too small to wear over a coat, and I'm not a real big guy. So if you order one, order a size or 2 up I guess. If you are a "medium" person, order an XL, and I'll trade you.

I think I had already emailed all the same shops (I sent the info and the PDF flyer to probably 10 shops). The shops that actively replied were

• Brooks Yamaha
• Dell's
• CycleZone
• Letko

Brooks Yamaha in Manhattan went so far as to call and ask what they could do to help. They said they received my email, email from you, savage, Kim Jackson (SCORVA) stopped in to talk about it, and then my brother, Kyle, stopped in to make sure they knew! So they were very aware of the event! They told me they put the flyers up.

NO.
In fact, they denied even side-by-side UTVs greater than 50". They are, however, allowing us to build a fire in the parking lot--something that is normally prohibited.

........Do any of you have ATVs you could bring? It sure would be nice to have some with racks to carry tools, supplies, and people to where the work is going on. In fact, it could be a job for a few folks just to operate ATV taxis as needed.

I know it is out of the way but you are welcome to come to the cabin and pick up my ATV. Battery is shooting craps but it has pull cord as well.

BIG THANKS to Eddie. I spent most of the day with him today--GREAT day to be out in the country. (Like every other day.) I came home with his ATV in the back of my truck. So we'll have at least one ATV to carry saws and gas, etc. Still hoping some ATV folks show up.

Luc has not said if Kira is coming, and I'm not sure if she would want to commit to the entire day while keeping an eye on their young son. So Kim, you might be our photographer!

I rode there Saturday. The west side is horribly overgrown. I came across 2 areas that have been washed out and are about 1/2 way into the trail. The east side isn't that bad. They just had the hare scramble out there recently so the east has been cleaned up some for that.

Yes, all, I will update SchoolCreek.org with this info later today, but as for an official plan, it's pretty simple.

We will start out focused on the West side. As others have stated, the East side is in a little better shape with some thanks due to the FMHSC folks who cleared 6 miles for their hare scramble. When they clear trail for a race, though, they don't necessarily take things all the way back to the trunk nor are they concerned about ATV width. So we'll be doing a more extensive clearing job. Hopefully several of the FMHSC folks will show up to help this Saturday.

Don't expect some great, coordinated effort to manage the work this Saturday! The message I want to get out is this, "Show up, grab a buddy, a chainsaw and/or limb loppers, then head out into the West side until you find branches that need clearing. Get to work. Repeat."

I don't think there is any "plan" that could be more efficient. I also think any efforts to coordinate folks arriving and departing at different times and working across 286 acres will fail.

The weekend forecast keeps changing so who knows what to expect! It is definitely heading in the COLDER direction. Cold is just fine. Rain will be a party-pooper.

I went and rode the local trails Sunday. Stopped and chatted with a father and son, son goes to school here, dad is from OP. Chatted about riding areas, Milford came up, the dad mentioned he heard there was a trail clean up day over there this weekend. Chatted more about it, they are pondering going.
So my point is, the word is out. Good work Troy.
