5th Annual Pie Ride Sep 27,28,29

First off.............. Yes there will be pie.

The Pie Ride is a Three day Camping and Riding event taking place at Wilson Lake Kansas.
Larry Ostram "BigO" will lead the group through his home territory in the Post Rock region of North Central Ks.

Beside the riding on Sat and Sun, there is a group Picnic on Saturday evening after the ride............. With fresh Pie supplied by Larry's wife. If I did one ride a year it would be this one.

She was a little greasy on Saturday morning, but if you had a set of knobs, and a modicum of skill you would have been fine. There was a KLR with "Gripsters" blown up pretty tight that made it through, but he had 400 miles on his rear tire and 50 miles on his front tire!

Bob is being far too politically correct. It turned into a classic KLR pig ride. Granted we did have some KLRs that were properly prepared for off-pavement...and riders on those bikes with some level of skill.

Otherwise there were the usual KLR folks calling themselves Dualsporters that do nothing but commute on pavement each day, bikes with full complement of farkle crap..and of course street tires aired up to 45 psi.

It's always good to divide into like-classed bikes. I have learned this through experience with the Hillbilly Dualsport.
