ALL BIKES of ALL SIZES WELCOME!
This is a no-hassle, low-cost weekend ride opportunity with some great folks in a beautiful part of the Mark Twain forest! Throw the dirt bikes and light dualsports in the truck or trailer and make the trip to Link's Freeman Off-Road Resort this Labor Day weekend! You'll be home Sun night in time to spend Labor Day with the family!
For those wanting some great dualsport adventure on the bigger bikes, you won't find more old logging roads and rugged forest roads than this part of the Mark Twain! Heck, bring your pavement ride if you want--the state highways in this area will not disappoint!
If the singletrack sounds too gnarly, you have the option of riding the 20+ miles of off-road trails in the Sutton Bluff Recreation area just up the road from the Freeman Off-Road Resort. This is an organized trail system with wider ATV trails. (PERMIT REQUIRED for Sutton Bluff system) Note that with a permit, you can even drive ATV's on the local gravel roads to get from Link's place to Sutton Bluff trails. So bring the family and the ATV's if you prefer a slightly tamer family adventure!

- Comfortable cabins and a nice shower house for only $20/night! (Or bring your RV or tent. See website for pricing.)
- Guide fee: $20/person/day
The riding will be a mix of narrow singletrack, rugged ATV trails, and abandoned logging roads. Link has a reputation for taking us through some serious creek crossings so bring your snorkels! IMPORTANT TIP: when Link asks, "do you like big hills?", the correct answer is "NO!".
Reply to this thread or PM/call/email Troy if you have questions or want to sign up. (troy at troywolf dotcom) The biggest cost of this trip is the gas to get there and back, so let's carpool--post up to organize. With a borrowed trailer, I have truck & trailer space for 4 bikes & riders.
A couple of past Link's OFF-ROAD rides! AND for the BIG bikes! The adventure (big bike) crowd can simply grab the route file on Link's site and go have a blast! I rode the entire route over 2 days this past Spring and it was excellent. Plenty of hairy sections to keep things interesting.

If you are arriving after dark be sure you carefully write down all the information about how to find the place! It's paved almost all the way with only 1/2 mile of easy gravel road to his place. When on the gravel road, you'll see a large rock on your left and a driveway. The rock says "Link's". When you pull in, the first cabin building is Link's house and the resort office. Next you'll see 2 small cabins on your right and a larger cabin further down. The shower house is a metal building in front of you. We will all be in the big cabin as Link has the 2 small cabins booked with dualsport riders this weekend.
