New scooter

Pull up a couch. It's cool in the Lounge. Just remember to be a good neighbor.

New scooter

Post by Savage »

I picked up my "new" scooter a couple weeks ago. It was just too good of a deal to pass up. I wasn't really wanting a streetbike but I do remember seeing a Nighthawk back in 95 and I liked the looks of it them. I've been working on making it look better and setting it up to fit me. Runs smooth with 64k on it. Looking to put a windshield on it to help with all the wind.
Anyone else here had one?

WOW Looks clean. Congrats. I have seen alot of bikes lately for a good price. I think the economy is finally hitting here and people are dumping extra stuff. I found a 2008 530 EXC next door the other day. Just cant pull the trigger on it. I dont have room for all the bikes I have now

I rode a Night Hawk years ago that a friend owned. Wasnt for me (not my style) but it was a nice little cruiser. I like it. Hope you have many happy miles on it. All my Hondas have been solid so it should go and go.

It's not as clean as the pic makes it look. I haven't ridden a streetbike for a longtime up until now, so it's taken some getting use to. I've only put 60 miles or so on it so I'm gettng more use to it. What's funny is that now it makes my DRZ feel really light and it feels like I'm sitting up on a sawhorse riding an illegal bike on the road. :D
You can see in the pic I put on some BMX pegs in the front so I can stretch out if I need to. Got that tip from another NH owner. I'm wanting to try some drag bars or dirtbike bars on it and get rid of the mirrors and just run a little one like on my dual sports. I'm enjoying fixing'er up. That's almost more fun to me then riding them, because once I get them to where they are all I can do is look at them. That gets kinda boring. lol

I'd like to set it up to where it looks something like this, but I think it'd cost alot of $$$$$

Neat harley but who would want a dirtbike that breaks down every ride?

I know of a few nighthawk owners. I never hear any complaints. Seems the bike has a healthy following. Looks like a safe choice for a cruiser, and for resale.
