I am heading out to move to Houston this week. I have only been riding and meeting folks off bike borads for the past few years, but I have meet some great people.

Just wanted to say thanks for the good times and I will try to drop in from time to time.

Take care
Chris

Chris, you were one of the very first dualsport riders I met in KC when I got my KLR. We enjoyed a few rides! We'll miss you and wish the best for you down in Houston.

Good luck in Houston. Hate to lose a DS rider in the KC area, but the never-winter of Houston will be nice change from the weather here the past few weeks.

In July and August you may be wishing for the relative cool and dry of KC, but that is many months away.

Take care,
Mike

Thanks all. I am excited to start a new chapter so to speak.

I am sure I will be hating it come summer, but will just have to deal with it. Everyplace has crappy weather in some way or another.

It was nice to ride with you a couple of times. I think of the first ride with you cause of your mishap. We were a couple of miles north of Easton Ks. and I saw a farm field road that looked interesting and stopped so our group could figure out if we wanted to give it a try. I had been leading all morning and wanted to let someone else have a chance to lead, so I asked Chris if he wanted to ride first and he said yes and took off for where ever this road would lead us. It had about 1 1/2 foot tall weeds covering it so we could not see what we were trying to ride on. Chris found a rut with his front tire and down he went at about 20 mph. I forgot if it was the brake lever or gear shifter, but it looked like a pretzel when we looked at it.

Houston is a nice town and you seem to be a nice person so all will work out well. Check back in from time to time and let us know whats up, David H

Good Luck Chris, and Thanks for coming back for me on the Weston ride. I was a little slow getting going after the stop and followed Cuzin Mike and his Dad not knowing they were heading back to town.
It was nice riding with you, take care of yourself, Dean

I just threw that shifter away last week.

In Houston as of last Firday and started work today. 70 and rainy, but it is clearing up. 50's the rest of the week. 8) Went for a short ride yesterday to dust off the cobwebs and tool around the side streets which is where I will stay for teh most part until I am used to the traffic.

I forsee a weekend ride to Galveston real soon. It's only 40-50 miles I hear.

Take it easy kiddos!
