Just wanted to say Hello! Bob Morgan in Topeka here. I'm excited about the riding season ahead, and have some new equipment that ready to try out! :D
I have a pretty bad adventure cycle itch, and plan scratch it as often as possible this summer. I have dreams of Alaska, but will have to settle for the back roads of the Kansas River Valley for now. Have a great Mothers day weekend. Bob

T, which bike are you going to take Alaska? The KTM or the BMW? I think you should take the BMW since they now own Husky :D

The F650 Dakar is his long-mile bike. Pretty much made for this type of adventure.

Yep I have my Dakar set up for touring. Thats all she does these days. I dont have much of a commute anymore so I just ride the XRR back and forth from work. I prep the KTM also. If I find something wrong with the Dakar or something happens, etc I go to the back up bike

I must be nice to have the "back-up bike". I have floated the idea of a second bike, but I got "that look" from the wife. Well it all about timing and I will have to wait for the right time.

One should never be limited to just one bike. Just ask T-ropp, I think his is down to just 5 or 6. As for a secound one at home, thats what friends are for. If you keep the bike at a friends house is it reilly yours?? :?: I see a Dakar in your future, or maybe a full on GS1200. I am thinking bigger is better, I know how you hate to keep the fr wheel down!!!

Buy the bike for her and then borrow it now and then.
