Progressive Suspension???

Post by The Harm »

Looking for some information on the progreesive suspension set up that is offered for the KLR, does anyone have any first hand experiance with this set up??? I've read alot about them on advrider.com but I've been unable find a unanimous "yes" its good or "don't even waste your time with it" . Just wondering what kind of benefits a updated suspension could provide.

I would say, "definately, YES!" I replaced the fork springs almost immediately with Progressive springs and it made a big difference. A couple years later, Dual Star had the Progressive rear shock "on sale." I needed to replace the rear shock anyway so I sprung for the Progressive. All I can say is, Wow! I'll be the first to admit that I don't know everything there is to know about setting up a suspension but the Progressive rear shock made a huge difference in the way the KLR will run through rough stuff. It takes all the squirrelly out.
