Best Garmin?

I got he chance to get a killer deal on a garmin gps and was wondering what one is best. Thanks for your guys input!

I think the 60CSx is the best all around GPSr on the market now. However, I am keeping my eye on the new Colorado GPSr. I don't know when it is coming out but I like what I have read so far. http://gpstracklog.typepad.com/gps_trac ... e-gar.html

What / Where are you going to use it?

For me the 60 was the best compromise ... waterproof (canoe tripping, backpacking, motorcycling), small (canoe tripping, backpacking, etc), medium screen (motor sports). A larger screen would be nice on the MC, but that would be a much larger (weight, size) unit that I wouldn't want to backpack with.

If I was just doing motorcycle I would look seriously at the Garmin motorcycle specific line up. The buttons are all on the left side.

What / Where are you going to use it?

Just like I just my 60CSx, geocaching, riding, hunting and traveling.

I like the idea of being able to download aerial photos into the unit and the ability to download details of geocaches to go paperless (That way I don't have to carry my phone/pda while caching. I have broken 2 already because they are not as sturdy as a GPSr).

There is also speculation that one of the 3 models will have route-able topo maps loaded for the entire country. As much as I travel that would be very handy.

Here is more information on the Garmin Colorado 400t. The "t" stands for trail. I like a lot of the features but I don't like the price. I wonder what the actual price will be when they hit the shelves.

For those who are looking for a good GPSr keep your eye on the 60CSx. I believe the prices will drop dramitically when the Colorado's hits.

In Bass Pro Shops 2008 Master Catalog, that I received today, has the Colorado 400i and 400 Bluechart listed for $599.99. I would guess the 400t would be similarly priced.

Thanks for all the input. I think the colorado is the one my buddy was talkin about. His wife works at Garmin and could get me a really good deal, but they limmit her to only one a year. Thanks all!
