GasGas Enduro 4-strokes

Post by troy »

Anybody know much about these bikes? Check out the "Enduro FSR" 450 and 515 models.
http://www.gasgasmotos.es/eng/frame.htm

About 260 lbs, seat height 37", ground clearance only 14.5". Don't a lot of other bikes have around 17" of ground clearance? It appears to be fuel-injected. I think that's a good thing, but others would argue the simplicity of a carb. Tiny gas tank, but Clarke makes one with double the capacity to fit this machine.

The website does not indicate these "Enduro FSR"s are street-legal, but I find reports of people getting them tagged. The GasGas "Pampera" model appears to be street-legal. A bit of a confusing model lineup.

14" of ground clearance is high. A lot of bikes are in the 10 to 12" range. The guy who owns the Carbondale KS, riding park is a Gas Gas dealer. He has a small, packed shop on the grounds

Yeah, I realized that later....not sure what I was thinking. So there is a "local" dealer. I doubt he'd have one of these enduros laying around in stock. I'm sure it's an order it if you want it thing. At least he could tell me what they cost. Anybody know what MSRP is on these?

For some reason I was thinking GasGas used the powerplant from another large bike company. Might be a plus when it comes to parts. You might check for reviews on-line. I read a write-up on a GasGas bike a couple of years ago.

There is a plated 2005 GasGas 450fsr on AdvRider for $3900, but I believe the bike is not naturally street-legal. I was just really curious about it, and wondered if anyone local owns one.

I was not talking about the Pampera model. Notice the photo I posted is the Enduro FSR 450. Specs include electric start and kickstarter. This is also why I mentioned that I don't think it's street-legal. (The Pampera model is.)

Aren't GasGas bikes built around Honda engines?
