Pull up a couch. It's cool in the Lounge. Just remember to be a good neighbor.

New Forum Software Version

Post by troy »

As you can tell, something has changed! I just upgraded to the newest version of phpBB--the popular forum software used to run RideForum.NET.

Right now, you are looking at the default design. I'll be working to customize the look and feel.

There are a few new features of the new forum, so feel free to look around. Mostly, though, the new features are on the administrative side. We are hoping that the spam accounts and posts will be drastically reduced. I want this forum to be mostly family friendly. Having almost daily porn spams was not acceptable. (If you want porn, you know where to find it---not here at RideForum.NET.)

Hope you all will be patient with me during this process. I'm very pleased with the success of RideForum.NET. I'm encouraged by and proud of the excellent community of riders we have here. Keep up the good work AND GET OUT THERE AND RIDE! ....when the rain stops.

Yeah, I kind of goofed up one of the image directory's permissions so some of the buttons did not show for about a day. Oops.

Actually, I've had some great rides in the rain, but if I had my druthers.... A lot of the places I like to ride simply get too muddy for me to ride after heavy rains. Pavement---no problem, but with my current steed, I'm not a fan of riding pavement.
