Pull up a couch. It's cool in the Lounge. Just remember to be a good neighbor.

Congrats on the new ride! The paint scheme reminds of the Yamaha's of the late 70's and 80's with the great Bob Hannah aboard. Man was that guy a cocky SOB, but he backed it up.

Just curious why you didn't go for the Africa Twin???

I picked mine up in Oklahoma. You should be able to pick one up for 15% off MSRP without any other BS fees; I did even better than that.

I've done a lot of shopping over the past year and kept coming back to the Tenere. Shaft drive, tubeless tires, cruise control !! I also like the clean look when you take the factory hard bags off, it doesn't have the normal metal brackets. I'm looking forward to putting some miles on it.

Congratulations on the new Tenere. That's the bike I would like too, for the same reasons you mentioned. I can wish to win the one AMA is giving away!haha Meanwhile I've got up-graded suspension on the way for the KLR.
Enjoy your new bike and let us know your thoughts of it after a few miles.

Take care, RD

Was able to break free for a little ride yesterday; put about 70 miles on it. Very smooth ride and the cruise control is awesome. I have ordered a V-Stream touring windshield for a little extra wind protection, but so far so good. The all weather gun case mounted on the back is the one currently available at Sam's Club for $20. It is just the right width @ 16". With the hard saddlebags on, they open perfectly without being blocked by the top case.

I have just over 700 miles on it now; 250 from this afternoon.

Gas mileage; 45+
Speedo is accurate within 1 mph of GPS speed. (cruise is awesome)
V-Stream windshield is 6" taller than stock and does an excellent job.
Nice and stable on gravel roads.

Just picked up the 16 Raven Super Ten. Have about 350 miles on it so far. Can't wait until the break-in is over. Love it so far. Yellowstone this summer and Alaska the next.

Just got back from the badlands, Devils tower, big horns, bear tooth highway, Yellowstone, Tetons, Rocky Mountain and Estes park. Did it in a week on the Tenere. Very happy with the bike!
