Pull up a couch. It's cool in the Lounge. Just remember to be a good neighbor.

Adventure Tour Companies

Post by troy »

Often I find myself reading about an adventure motorcycle tour opportunity. Many times these are in exotic-to-me locations. Have any of you ever done this? If so, reply to tell us what company and what your experience was.

Recently I stumbled across Motomission Peru.

Looks like for about $2,500 all-in including air-fare, you could do a 4 day adventure.

Bill Dragoo has put out an invite for an awesome Columbia ADV experience. 6 days of riding with most things included (no airfare, lunch, gear) for < $5K.

There are dozens of other companies and options. I have to admit, for me it's an intimidating prospect--vulnerable in a foreign country and unable to speak the language.

Troy do you know Terry Nygaard? He has gone on a number of tours. If you are interested in doing one let me know. I'm interested as is Chris Smith.

If I could swing it I would be riding one of Rawhydes Winter Adventures. They actually have a number of great looking tours.

Thanks. My interest is not very serious. All things considered at this time, it would be difficult for me to make the time, money, and risk commitment. Just wondering if we had any in our midst who have made these trips a reality. AdvRider.com is full of reports I can read of course.

I would totally do a tour in a different country. I have a friend that did a tour in Ecuador and he said it was awesome.
