I would say so if you're looking for a big road-biased ADV bike.

Yes, I have a 2012 and I love it. Great price, and color. I mainly ride off pavement and it definitely can be a handful at times, but a great bike if you have some training.

For anything gnarlier than this, I might consider something smaller.

Obviously you will need a metal skid plate, crash bars and that might be it.

Just like any other bike it has its shortcomings, and list of improvements. Let me know if you need more details.

Serhan, sorry for the embed issue. I fixed your post....after I installed an extension that makes many media links just "work". So now you can just paste your YouTube links into a post. The forum system will recognize the link is from YouTube and create the embedded video container.

The extension also supports Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo videos, and others.

Btw, I rode down Black Bear Pass on my KTM 450 EXC, and that was scary enough. I might ride my F800GS down it, but nothing heavier. Personally I'd probably be comfortable enough to drive a good Jeep down it, but I wouldn't risk it with my family. People die every year on Black Bear Pass.

Ophir Pass is pretty rough going up, and a rider on a Tenere followed me up there without much drama. As always, though, the rider makes the biggest difference.
