Site Maintenance complete

Update: maintenance complete. Please ignore this thread.

Hey all! If you are seeing this message, then you are noticing the site looks a lot different! This is the default theme that comes with the system--this is only temporary.

On Friday, I moved RideForum.NET to a new, faster server. Today, I upgraded to the next major release of the forum software, phpBB3 (v3.1.9).

The new version is not backwards compatible with the mods and styles I was using, so I have some work to do! Please be patient! A new "mobile responsive" theme is on the way!

I was trying to interpret your message, but I think I figured it out--you don't like the current style--and neither do I. I did not make it clear enough in my post--this is the default theme that comes with the system. I am working to change it so something a lot better.

I do want to point out, though, in case anyone was in love with the theme we had for the last few years, that it was not "mobile responsive", which means it kind of sucked on a phone screen. Also, I did not like how it was stuck at a relatively narrow width even when you have a large screen--which is why photos got cut off so much (which I have now fixed another way, but...)

Anywho....hopefully the new style that I'm working on will be something you guys appreciate. It could be ready tonight--or it might take me 3 days. I don't know--I'm having some technical issues with it right now.

Thanks!

You are doing good Troy! We are riding and you are slaving away so we have no rights to complain!

BTW looks like no more going through box turtle toad... :-(

I agree with you both.
I'm sure it will be better once you're done. :D

Ooh, I love it even more! I never complained but accessing from a mobile sucked. Wouldn't bother me if u left it the way it is now, but I am sure u will make it prettier.

Troy since you did such a good job bringing your forum up to snuff, I'll throw out an offer.
If you haven't got your KTM 300 up and running yet, bring it to Manhattan and I should be able to get her going for you. I think it was a carb issue correct?

MAN, that is GENEROUS! It started running rough, and since not much else to a 2-stroke, I figured it needs a good carb cleaning--I put a new plug in. Now it has been sitting for about a year I suppose.

The forks are leaking, too. I planned to pull the forks and shock and send to my buddy in St. Louis to rebuild. He told me I could send the carb along, too, and he'd rebuild it for $25. So I figure I'll do that---unless you just love rebuilding forks. The 99 forks are "funny". One is rebound and the other is compression.

I've never rebuilt forks. All I do is clean out the seals and occasionally install fresh fluid.
LMK if you want me to clean the carb and rejet if needed.
