Why was it canceled? I wanted to race but I'm in middle of a battle with strep throat.

Don't know. I found out about the race indirectly on the day of the race. Later that day, I heard it had been cancelled 2 months prior. That's all the detail I "know", and that info is worth what you paid.
Sorry to hear about the strep, Caleb. I just came down with something Sat night and it's dragging me down into the abyss.
