I couldn't wait any longer! I am picking up my new bike tomorrow at Cycle Zone in Topeka. So excited I can hardly wait (or get anything done at work)!

Wow! Seems like a lot of my riding buddies are getting brand new KTM's. Putting the pressure on me! Maybe I'll join the club sometime in 2015.

You move fast! You were just talking about it. Ready to break it in at Chadwick?

Congratulations!!! I plan to ride Chadwick the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. If interested, let me know... Anyone is welcome actually.
BTW I bet it gets much better mileage than KDX!

Bike is in the garage and first farkles already installed!! I can't wait to get out and test it out!

Not sure I'm ready to break it in at Chadwick though...until I get some dick protectors, better hand guards installed, and maybe some heated grips.

Don't be such a worry-wart. What could possibly go wrong at Chadwick?!

Condoms needed for Chadwick?
People like this is why I don't share a room when traveling.

I never go to Chadwick without a fresh box of condoms. What happens at Chadwick stays in Chadwick...except for the rash and the stinging sensation when you pee--those follow you home.

Good rubbers are important at Chadwick. I completely tore one last time I was there, borrowed a used one and put a hole in it as well. I patched it and gave it back.
I broke my Husaberg in at Links, so I believe Chadwick is fantastic place to test the new bike.

If you haven't got one already, I highly recommend a G2 Throttle Tamer. Makes all that power a lot more manageable.

After installing that (and a few other things, such as a Seat Concepts seat and comfier grips), it was like riding a completely different bike. Wish I'd had time to install it in time for the fall Arkansas ride.

Hi five on the new 500! I got a 2014 and love it. I did minimal upgrades and am happy enough to leave it be for a while. I just regeared, desmogged it, no mirrors and trimmed the license plate holder to xcf size. Armour in the way of EE barkbusters and a flatland skidplate. Next upgrades would be full exhaust and reprogramming to ecu.
And my break in happened at Birdmans last year!

				Gotta love autocorrect...
Wel, since the condoms weren't protecting the rotors the way I had hoped my disk protectors are on the way. Flatland skidplate installed, double take mirrors (stolen from the drz) installed, circabend handguards ordered, and I am through the break-in time. Just need to change the oil, etc and actually take it out and ride it!! Desmogging to happen in the near future...
Now, if only I could get rid of all the family staying at my house for the next week...

@Motoracer13: Can you post a picture of the license plate holder mod? I am still debating on what to do to it.

%95 of time is dirt so I never licensed it, the %5 it is street is about a 2.5 mile run up to Liberty Cycle Center 《==best bike shop ever!!!

				Foster,
Congrats on the 500 EXC! Any updates on how it works or what you have done to it? Any pix? My '13 500 EXC is so good I just keep it rather than trade. It works everywhere. Hard core dirt, dual sport and road riding. Any questions about what I did to mine just send me a PM.
