The forum now requires admin account activation for new members before posting is allowed.

I hated to do this because I like the easy, open nature of the site. Unfortunately, every day there are multiple spammer accounts created. Even though I required account activation via a user email, spammers were still jumping through all the hoops to create accounts just to spam.

I made the decision to enable admin activation because today a spammer posted hard-core porn photos in the Lounge. If you witnessed this post, my apologies. (Or I suppose for some of you, my apologies if you missed it.) We do very little here to police the discussions or control topics, but it is our intention that the forum be mostly family & work safe.

Thanks to Troy for working so hard on the forum website. I am challenged just to try to use the internet, so it is nice to have guys like Troy who make everything work for the rest of us.

Doesn't bother me any that you approve posters, I wish more forums were like this.
