Bill Conger, a BMW certified motorcycle instructor, Michelin tire tester, Dakar Racer and all around good guy is doing a two day off road motorcycle course at my place in Linn County, KS on May 17-18.

I have taken his course twice at the BMW Performance Center. He knows how it ride and more importantly how to teach. It is a fantastic class. There is only 11 slots available. Sigh up early. If enough people are interested a second two day class may be offered.

Any bike is welcome.

I spent the weekend with Bill Conger, the instructor, at my place where the course is going to be held. He has some neat plans for the two day course.

The course will have a maximum of 12 riders and there will be two instructors. This is geared to the beginner dual sport rider however experienced riders will still get a lot of value from the course. Having two instructors and only 12 rides will give you a lot of personal instruction.

Bill's Dakar stories will be included at no extra charge.

This is exactly what I wanted this summer...and the youngest graduates from high school that Sunday. Have to pass. If it moves dates due to rain or Friday-sat instead I will keep watching.

Only one slot remaining for the Thursday-Friday class and 6 slots for the Saturday-Sunday class.

If anyone is interested in the Thursday-Friday class I would recommend signing up ASAP.

I spend the weekend with the two instructors and learned a lot.

There are two female BMW certified instructors in the USA and one of them is teaching the class. Watching a very little 100 pound (maybe) girl ride a new BMW 1200 in around around trees, mounds, ruts, etc. effortlessly shows you don't need strength to ride these ADV bike off road. Skills will get you through.

I have taken the course twice and had private lessons this past weekend. Each time I have learned a lot. At times I still horse my bike to do what I want. I need to practice the skills I have been taught so I can rely more on the technique and less on my strength to get me though technical sections.

If you are interested there are still some spots available. Sign up now if interested.
