First, I found handguards I'm very happy with. The new "Evolution" from Enduro Engineering--I talk about it here:

Instead of the expensive F.I.T. system (see previous post above), I opted for a rather inexpensive Fat bar and some fat bar adapters. This solution worked GREAT because the adapters raise the bars about .75 to 1 inch. I wanted to raise the bars anyway so I can stand easier. I also went with a high-bend bar to get even more height. This extra height allowed me to rotate the bars forward a bit, which gives me more room in the saddle to stretch my arms forward.
So now I can stand comfortably and sit more comfortably. The bars look and feel great, in my opinion.
