Great shots guys. Have fun at the pie ride. Probably have too have a beer or three at the plaza art show too make up for it.

adding my Colorado stuff. I can't seem to find those shots where I wrecked or was losted. Randy said it would rain every day and damned if he wasn't right...but he forgot mention lightning, hail and snow.

That's a nice looking bike Andy!

So I recently bought this old Honda and brought her back to life after hibernating for 10 years. I bought it from the original owner who bought it new at Garber's Honda in NE. She has low use and was almost well maintained before the years passed by. I was hoping once I got her up and running again that she wouldn't be puking oil out everywhere.
It took a little work but I brought her back to life. What's funny is the swingarm slider was there and in good shape when I bought it. After a couple rides around the block it started breaking off in big chunks. Now it just has the screws that were holding it on. The OEM one is discontinued, but I found a company that makes one (it should be here today).

This old bike has lots of power, but it will make for a great ride for the wifey to putt around on as well. It's about the same size as a CRF230 with much more get-up-and-go.

That's nice! I keep telling my wife she needs a bike to, but she knows is just a smoke screen for me to get something else.

First post! I just returned from CO on a 4 day 1680.7 mile ride. I am new to the adventure world and this was my first overnight ride. I hope this was the first of many rides to come!

Great Pics! Were you solo the whole time? I hope you don't mind inclement weather because it looks like you encountered your fair share of rain and snow. Did you ever have to use the contents of that red container strapped to the back fender??

Looks like you enjoyed yourself in CO, Creekside!

You too, hondamxracer! Hitting the high passes in late Sep / early Oct is pushing your luck with CO weather! Your ride looked cold and wet! Were you sufficiently prepared for the temps on that ride? Heated gear? Heated grips? Welcome to the world of "adventure" riding. Looks like you know how to do adventure!

Also a note to folks wanting to share photos in their posts. The recommended way for this forum and most forums is to link to your photos hosted elsewhere. For example, you upload your photos to create an album at www.smugmug.com. Then you use the image button when posting here on RideForum.NET and paste your photo's link (link to smugmug) between the image tags. (The image button in the editor creates the img tags for you.)

The file attachment feature here at RideForum.NET is great for attaching route files and PDF's -- things like that. Just remember that everything you upload uses the disk space I pay for. :D

Yep, I was solo for this trip. I encountered all types of weather for sure. Everything from rain and high winds, snow, sleet, and dense fog! Over the course of my trip, I had to use the gas can 4 times.

I had originally planned this trip for late June, but had to reschedule due to a family sickness. I thought about heading south for better weather, but couldn't resist the adventure in Colorado. I knew going into the trip that I would face all weather conditions, so I packed a lot of layers. At the coldest point (Pikes Peak - 20s), I had six layers on top and 4 on bottom, plus three layers for my hands. My hands did get cold once in the rain, so I'm going to look into some heated gloves for next time.

Went to the Flint Hills yesterday, was a great day to ride. I like the wide open spaces of the flint hills. For me it is like going back in time, as I imagine the landscape not having changed as much as other places, in the last 200 years.

Emma (not her real name) at the Emma Chase Café in, Cottonwood Falls, told us she is closing the café on Dec. 1.

I was out sunday afternoon for a couple hundred miles, our family's land is outside of Hamilton. All I saw was packs of Harley's, except for one KLR as I came back thru Kearney.
Blacktop between Wallace State park and Kingston is pretty good, south of Kingston a mile turn east on F. 190 between Jamesport and Chillicothe is a favorite. My niece tells me her girls get carsick on 190. O rly? :P

190 was fun ! Good hills for lofting front at speed ! Rode around poozy and followed Grand river for a while . Some neet access roads . Found a closed road that the river was claiming that I tried to post pics of but can't seem to figure it out . I'll try again . But it was where the river had washed the bank of the river away past the road . At one point it flodded and left a bunch of sand .

I love the rear fender camera facing backwards to catch the kids riding. Luc's shadow in the video looks cool, too. The kids were riding some pretty tough stuff!

Happy Thanksgiving all! It's been nice getting to know all of you guys and riding with you over the past few years. My family and I have made some good memories with y'all. Thank you!

I was fortunate enough to be able to get out and ride last weekend to celebrate my birthday. I feel so blessed that I'm still able to ride. :) Here's a little video of the day.

Yesterday my daughter and I were spending the day together. After lunch I was putting up Christmas lights and she asked me if we were going to the trails to ride today. I said no. Half hour later she asked again. Well, OK, you twisted my arm. Let's ride! :D
Every other time I've kept the kids up on the easy trail. But yesterday I took her down into the tougher area and had her climb some hills and go through some of the newer sections. It was awesome to see her keeping up.
