Good to see you, one of your RR's was where I first saw the old house above Forest City. I fumbled my picture of the Davis Memorial. :?

Hey Birdman tell your wife that my wife is enjoying the BMW. Here they are at the top of Trail Ridge Road in the Rocky Mt National Park this week.

Luc was nice enough to invite our kids to come out and ride at his place this week. They had a great time and cruised around at a decent clip. My daughter was proud of how muddy she got her bike. :D Somehow I refrained from washing our bikes until today. I guess I was waiting to see if they would ride anymore this weekend, but it didn't pan out.

I went for a quick little dirt squirt this morning. Rode for about 2.5 hours, it took me about an hour to wake up and feel like riding. Came home, ate lunch and took a much needed nap. :D

I got in some awesome riding this weekend! Luc and I took off on Saturday morning for my parents house. We probably rode 80/20 asphalt/dirt but the little dirt we rode was fun for me. Then he made me ride his new KTM because he couldn't resist my KLR anymore. You could tell he was so excited to get on a supremely inferior bike.
That bike is awesome! Rides lighter than I assumed a 1200cc bike would on dirt. I had no clue what gear I was in and it didn't matter. Just give it some gas and the rear would get squirrely and I was doing 80 in no time.

Luc headed back to Manhattan. Then after lunch I looked at a map and went and hit up the minimum maintenance roads around Washington county. It was a fun little ride. I vaguely remember being out on a couple of the roads when I was a kid with my dad.

Then today I went and checked out a local MX track I've heard of. He's working on expanding it so some of it is still grassy. I'm no Ricky Carmichael but I had a blast cruising around the track. My hands, arms and legs were tired in half hour.
Great weekend of riding different bikes in varied terrain!!

We got out yesterday morning after the recent rain showers. No one else had been there so it was perfectly tacky. They each layed it down once, but neither go hurt. They were both happy they were wearing their new riding pants.

Great vids and pic's Savage! I'm jealous how much you get to ride and the variety!

I would not have ridden the KTM 1190...I want one REAL bad and it would only hamper my ability to resist.

Thank you! I feel I am very blessed! There was a time when we couldn't have kids, I wasn't able to walk, and didn't have any money for any toys (bikes). God is smiling down on us. I'm just trying to enjoy my/our time here on earth.
Once again, thank you!

Nice shots. Seeing kids ride in dirt is always pretty cool. She rides better in mud than me. Wish my kids might have taken to it instead of seeing it as "Dad's sport that he does with other old guys" but like me they burn through multiple hobbies & sports every few years of their own whims.

Enjoy it while you got it Savage and it sounds like you are. We are shipping the last one off to college tomorrow. Kids add chaos & new ideas and force you to change to keep up...keep you fresh and alive!

It was an awesome day on the bike yesterday! Larry O offered up a ride for a new guy and a few of us said we were available. Ended up Smitty was the leader of the ride and they had nothing planned other than to find a buffalo. It was a short, but awesome ride! I rode all new roads to me, Smitty did an excellent job taking us down minimum roads, got to chat and ride with some old friends, and made some new ones. I was pleasantly surprised to see there were 16 of us that showed up.

I have been riding in the Missouri Ozarks. I'm on roads seldom traveled. One road brought me the Falling Spring Mill.

It is a neat mill in a beautiful area of Oregon County, MO.

Took advantage of four days of good weather last week and took the GS to Colorado. I stayed in Poncha Springs, first day altitude was bothering me a little so I took it easy,
past Westcliffe and back for a nap.
2nd day, across Monarch then south @ Doyleville to run up North Cochetopa pass, back up along the Black Canyon then north as far as Carbondale, to return via Kebler and Ohio
3rd day, south to Summitville ghost town, more dirt passes and eventually to Chama, NM to return over Wolf Creek
4th day, a couple hundred miles and quit early to load up before the rain started. 1170 miles more or less.

Ohio Pass, ghost town of Baldwin on private property. :(

I think that's Cochetopa Dome in the distance, love this road!

I did the same thing as Dean, but explored the Medicine Bow National Forest near Guernsey WY with a friend.

The forest was a mix of Desert, and Forest.

We rode a 200 mile commute to the NF, and my Budget Adventure Bike rode well loaded down.

Awesome pics fellas!
That's a cool base camp. How are you liking the 705's? I think they work much better than you'd expect.

So far so good, but haven't gotten into much raunchy rutted stuff. Going by the forecast the Pie ride might be a test for them though.............. it's looking wet.
