Savage wrote:Awesome elevation changes! Looks like you need one of those offroad mowers to go through the property to give you a nice trail to follow.
I don't think theres any way to mow that place it's so rocky and too big, other than close to the creek beds but there's plenty of cow paths.
I got a garmin smart watch/gps that tracks tons of stats and i don't need to take my phone with me, I finally got to use it and still trying to figure it out but i got 2 routes uploaded to my phone from the watch. It had some pretty cool stats and mapped the route we rode exactly showing speeds and elevations at every point along route. I'll see if I can share or link the stats from what it uploaded.

The options were bone dry dirt or nasty puddles/ponds from the recent flooding. To give you an idea, the road you take to the east side to park by the lake has been flooded. I've never seen it that high. Lots of logs/trees have been moved from all the water. We did get in some good driftwood/log riding practice though.
But she is all washed up and ready to ride again!

My son and I went and rode the local track today. There were a couple of other kids there as well. We had a great time! I was riding as fast as I feel comfortable riding and the young boy on the 65 was passing me!!

I'll keep spamming.
This is from last Saturday morning. We took off early and were home by 9am to beat the humidity.

Sorry Luc but that teaser video is horrible. I wanted to see if the KLR made it down or not.
It's nice to see the old gas station restaurant open again!

How far did you guys ride?
I rode the old 2 stroke at the local trails Saturday afternoon and the weather couldn't have been much better. There were a couple guys there riding KX500's. One was original and one was in a KX450F frame.

I know... You should have come to see if he made it or not
More seriously, I messed up and stop the video before he even started, he made it down, there was a couple of times I thought he may dump it but he managed like a champion!
There were a couple of side by side and I got them

Unfortunately, we are probably done doing box turtle there is a brand new gate coming from the north. We came from the south it was pretty scketchy going down especially on the 1190 so there was no way we could turn around so we squeezed beside the gate.
I think I had a little bit over 120 miles when I got home, I could not ride that afternoon. Doug logged in 300 I believe

I bet the side by sides were shocked to see bikes in there.

We had a nice ride yesterday. Working on moving my daughter up to my sons CRF80, and moving my son up to a KX85. No crashes, so I would call that a success.
She fits the 80 much better, but she's having to learn how to clutch.
He knows how to use the clutch, but he has to control the power and its pretty tall for him even though I lowered it as much as I can.

On a recent ride into the forest, I was able to combine my love of ADV riding & quilting. What a great weekend!
