Rode with the little guy today, he is learning how to use his new bike so we did a lot of basic riding, braking and turning etc...

He loves it !

The suspension looks quite abit better. What else is different? Semi-auto clutch?
Looks like a nice upgrade. He's riding good!
Oh and what does the title of your video state?

Yes the suspension is way better! as far as the clutch it engages differently but I am not sure it is that much different, it is water cooled vs air cooled, a little bit higher, bigger wheels, disk brakes, and somehow seems that it has way more power, now it is pretty snappy so probably not the bike to learn on...

Kids are amazing! as I was posting this video I stumbled onto the first one I posted only a year and a half ago. I wish my skills had improved that much in a year and a half.

It has been fun to see how much the kids have progressed since the first Manhattan fun ride :D

After a couple dings at Lucs place and bottoming out on rocks and logs many times at Carbondale last weekend it was times to upgrade the CRF80 skid plate. I could either buy one for almost $200 or try to make something. So I cut out a pc of aluminum, made a few bends, drilled a few holes and bingo. First skidplate I ever made. Hammered out the stocker and got it closer to stock shape. She's ready to be put to the test now!

NIce job, handmade stuff is cool. Why pay...I am thinking...$300? for something like that your going to abuse anyways if you can make. Not like its some show bike anyways (yuck).

I just got done blow torching my rear brake pedal and hammering on it to bend it back out again.

Did my pre-Tarkc Ark warmup today from Gardner to Williamsburg KS...found a nice "bridge out" @ Centropolis (141th just west of 59), no shot I need a go pro thingy. Road at speed right over it and into this guy's driveway while he was working on his car. Wish I could do a wheelie on demand like Savage! He really would have shit his drawers instead of just giving me the evil eye. If you listen closely you can hear barbwire going up on another public road in KS tonight.

Image 181st North of Pomona. By the way the bridge is out on 197th, real bummer, nice min maint road with a big non-greasy mud hole. Probably did 40+ miles of this stuff. I like two track better than rutted pickup roads, but you take what you can get.

Image This is 309th north of Williamsburg. I really like this little road, next to Stanley(293th-301th) its hot rod two track.
I got stuck in a pickup truck rut on 285th by Melvern and about busted my a$$ a few times in mud holes that filled the crash bars (and never hit the ground, you were thinking I know, but got mud up to the tank lids just from shit flying) and bend the brake (yeah nothing like getting braked hard while paddling in 2ft nasty ass mud ruts full of greasy clay). I did kick clods out the bike but you can still see the weeds sticking out all of the parts. This is how you don't weed a field. The center stand was half down and packed, I had to stop and get it to clear the road about killed me.

I do love TKC80s! Never could do that on K60s. Of course that spring TKC rear is about smoked and next weekend will bury it.

Sick and tired of all this rain! I've been keeping myself busy being a good boy doing yard work, chores, bike maintenance, and making them look pretty. Well yesterday I had enough! I didn't care if the trails were muddy, I was getting the heck out of the house and going riding! Even though I knew I would have to clean my bike again when I got home. :D
It was far from the most enjoyable ride I've ever had, but I didn't care; I was out in the sun!

Played around with the camera's and made a little video. Nothing fancy by any means.

Interesting camera angle--how did you get that perspective high from behind?

Homemade pvc backpack mount. Works much better than my pvc 360 degree helmet mount.
Sorry Chris but I don't play minecraft. My son plays it on his tablet which is online, so maybe that's why it was suggested? :)

No I just wanted to go check out the water. We've been ill so I just wanted to get out of the house to try and feel normal again and move the oil and gas around in the old KLX.
