The mounts on the plastic things on my tank finally gave up the ghost during last weekends destruction derby, and I couldn't buy new ones because they wouldn't match the rest of my faded plastic, so it was off to the hardware store. I picked up some shelf hardware, and some pins, and did this:

I've been using pins for the rearward holes on the left side of the bike for about a year now, so this is really just an expansion of that idea. The nice part is now I can take off those plastics in about 30 seconds, without any tools.
