This is a fascinating place if you are ever up in the Anamosa Iowa area. They don't have a lot of dirt and dual sport bikes, but they do have some, including a military KLR they converted to a diesel engine.

Re: National Motorcycle Museum
Thanks Steve, Anamosa is a great destination. Probably the best collection of vintage bikes in the country. SW Iowa is beautiful hilly country and a great ride...beyond that it's pretty much an ocean of corn but the small towns are a step back in time and the people are great. Would reccomend Madison county as a side trip...the bridges are something to see.
Aside, Watch yer' speed...Have had a couple of meetings with the local constabulary and they don't compromise where speed limits are concerned...

Devil's Backbone State Park is a neat place to stay and hike around if you make a weekend out of it. My wife and I did this trip last year. The museum was not much to look at outside but they did a really nice job on the interior. Don't be put off by the exterior though. When we went it looked like it used to be an old Walmart. It was a good time!
