Husqvarna has taken all there is to love about the beating heart in the BMW F800GS, stripped it naked, cranked up the heat and stuck it in a new super moto. Meet the 2012 Nuda 900R. The 900cc parallel twin now turns out a heady 100 horsepower, and at 385 pounds dry, the bike is guaranteed to be the kind of machine momma warned you about. Solid details beyond those scant specs are still scarce at the moment. It's unclear exactly which markets will get the joy of calling the Nuda 900R their very own or how much the bike will cost when lands.
Here's a brief article with a video: http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default ... ryId=23858 This thing looks like a ticket waiting to happen, Hayden????????????

Re: Husqvarna Nuda 900R
I would bet that there will be an Adventure version to follow this super moto version. SMs seem to be popular in Europe but not here. With the demise of the KTM 640 Adventure and no 690 replacement I think Husky would have a bike that would sell quite well. Even Cycle World noted the increase in interest in Adventure bikes. Why not? They are durable, crash resistant, fairly easy to work on and less expensive than most more narrowly focused road bikes.

Adventure model? Wouldnt that be the F800?
I like the Nuda Hank. Thanks for the clue in. Wish they had done more with the rear area though. How am I suppose to mount my wolfman dry bags back there. A bike like this has to be able to haul a couple bags or then its just a mountain carver for day use only.
Hayden.

Re: Husqvarna Nuda 900R
I agree with Hayden. I mean, if one was in the garage, I'd ride it--it has sex appeal for sure. But I need form AND function.
I don't think I like the hard, angles. I think it would soon be dated and considered ugly. Maybe it is designed to deflect radar like a stealth fighter?

Thanks for the pics - now I have a new dream bike. That thing looks almost perfect...I could imagine it with a 2nd wheel set for some 606s and I wouldn't want another bike - ever.
