I saw this advertised in Dirt Bike and thought it look pretty cool. This is one of those ideas that I wish I would have thought of.

It is basically crescent shaped tube, so it doesn't require taking your tire off to fix a flat. The down side is they only have an 18 inch tube available, but other sizes are under development.

Lol....I saw the same add and was thinking about posting. Sounds like a good plan for a dirt bike. I would like to see some feedback on dual sport use. I'm a little wondering how it behaves at highway speeds.

The other item in the magazine that caught my attention was the new GPS from TrailTech. Integrates all the typical features of a Trailtech motorcycle computer with a GPS. Just in black and white resolution right now... hopefully a color screen soon....I'm spoiled.

I was wondering the same thing about the handling of the tube at speed.

As far as GPS go I think they are over rated. I just follow, Troy, Saifri or MoRiding and I get where I need to go

The Trail Tube looks like an enduro riders dream. Rip one out, stuff another in and off you go....

For dual sporting, if you can identify the problem you can break the bead off one side and just patch the puncture...the balance issue would definitely be a concern at highway speeds.

My experience with an earlier version of this tube was not very good. The literature with the tube advised that it was for emergency use only. When I installed it, after a flat on a DS ride, the out-of-balance factor was pretty bad. I replaced it with a standard tube when I got home and pitched the trail tube.
