Just curious about what you think. Do you think a klr or dr650 could do the blue loop at Millcreek ? Assuming its a better than average rider. I have been there on the klx 450 and the husky and didn't think it was that hard. Also at a semi brisk pace how long would it take to do the whole loop ? I'm thinking of adding it to the hillbilly ride as a hero section. 50 percent or more of the riders that show up would probably just want to ride forest roads.

Troy I used to have a file with your Ar trails, but can't find it Could you tell me how to get it, or send it to me ? I will never talk behind your back again if you do!

Are you leading a group at the Hillibilly ride? I've got reservations at the travelers inn and was hoping to ride, at a minimum, forest roads and preferably something a bit more exciting like mill creek. Most of what I've seen posted so far are scenic, gravel road type rides.

Randy, I will be leading a ride. I'm just not sure what type of ride I'm leading yet. It will depend on whats needed and who can talk me into something. I feel a little like the den mother since it's a ride I have put on for 9 years. To get to the good stuff you have to ride 20/30 miles of gravel and asphalt . You will enjoy yourself even though you might want something a little more knarly. I have created a "HERO " route you should join. It goes down to Oark and does a couple of fun and tough trails/roads, then over to Mill Creek. To allow more time for Mill Creek the ride will include about 15 miles of highway 215. We could ride forest roads to get there, but it would cut into the time at Mill Creek. I,m guessing this year there will be lots of people who want what you want and might even just ride gravel to Millcreek and spend 3 to 4 hrs there. Once you get there you will get a feel for who wants what, and just try to get in a group that meets your needs.

Dave it can be done, but in some sections it won't be a lot of fun like half way hill. If I remember right I think the electrician did it one year on his KLR. Troy rode the heck out of Mill Creek on his trusty DR 350

I remember some of that this last fall being groomed. They had a big Cat in there at some point and had cleaned up some of the blue loop. The up hills were not as bad as usual.

Dave, Sounds like there will be a variety of ride opportunities...looking forward to it!

If I ever get out from under the 6 feet of snow I've seen this week in Truckee, CA, so I can return home, I'll send my file and tell you exactly how long Blue Loop will take. Above avg rider on KLR can do it, but it is gnarly for that heavy a machine. Last fall, what was difficult was the lack of traction on uphills due to recent grading and loose stuff.
