Texas Hill Country

Pull up a couch. It's cool in the Lounge. Just remember to be a good neighbor.

Texas Hill Country

Post by ajayhawkfan »

I left last week for Austin, TX and a visit with my daughter. I planned on riding but had to haul my bike. The drive was treacherous from Ok City to Fort Worth where I stayed the night. The next morning I woke to this.

Texans can't drive in rain they should not even be allowed in a car if it snows. There were 100's of cars in the ditch from Fort Worth to Austin. By the time I got to Austin it was 60 degrees and beautiful.

I have had a great time with my daughter. We went to the San Antonio rodeo and concert that included Toby Keith.

Tomorrow I'm taking off on my bike through the Hill Country. If interested you can follow me here. http://share.findmespot.com/shared/face ... jE7BvI9uVB

My only concern is Wednesday. The weather that day is high of 36 with snow/rain and of that is the case there will be ice.

It was COLD today. I woke and it was 17. I started riding it was 22 degrees and for the most part it was below freezing. I did 210 cold miles with lots of water crossings. They all had me nervous. Going down in that water could be dangerous.

It still was a great day!
