DayLight Savings Time ... GPS updates

Garmin users should probably update their GPS unit software:

Note: Unit software is independent of MapSource software and updates.

Other manufacturers too, but I don't have that address.

Thanks for the heads up Mike. I did my first gps guided ride today, I like it!
A quick question, as you are riding along following a route can you make the map scroll ahead automatically? I was having to scroll the map with the cursor buttons.

IIRC:
Go to the ROUTE page.
Highlight a route and press ENTR.
At the bottom of the screen choose NAVIGATE.
Either the MAP page shows up or you manually go to it. The map should now scroll with you and the route.

Some other settings of importance, but of personal preference. Try them each way until you figure out what you like:
- Directions. I have POPUP directions turned off. Some like it. SETUP / ROUTING / Next Turn Pop Up = OFF

MAP Page / Menu / Setup Map:

/ General:
- Auto zoom. I have this turned off as otherwise the map keeps rescaling. Difficult to figure out distances and cross roads when the scale keeps changing. If I want to rescale I do it manually. BTW, lots of gravel road intersections aren't marked and aren't controlled (no stop signs in any direction). The GPS map is what often let me know that I need to slow down to check for traffic.
- Detail : Normal. Keeps clutter down. Smaller roads will show up if you zoom in.
- Track Up. I like it on. Other option is North Up. Troy likes that.

/ Text:
- The smaller screen of the 60 gets cluttered with text. I have all text turned off.

Thanks Guys, I kind of figured it out, I just needed to stop pressing the rocker button putting it in pan mode. Seems like the more I learn about this thing, the less I know. It's been a humbling experience and I'll try to keep the questions to a minimum.
ajayhawk fan gave me a few tips today but I'll be using the training wheels for a while yet.

When navigating, you can hit the rocker to pan around--as you know. Just hit the Quit button to return to navigation. Ajayhawkfan is a MapSource and 60CS(x) guru.
