Rusty, of http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com just posted this to the KC Dualsport Group. Sounds like fun.

Watch Moto Movies of course!

I've worked out a deal with Pizza Shoppe next door to our Smithville store. They bought a new big screen for the back meeting room just for us to watch moto movies on Tuesday nights at 7PM. It looks like our first movie night will be February 2nd. We may do a test run on January 26th.

We plan to have a different movie each week. Of course, if you like it, you can buy a copy from our store to take home.

Pizza Shoppe is planning to offer us their lunch deal of a mini pizza, salad and drink for the special lunch price.

Hopefully this will be a fun time and become a regular event. Once the weather improves, we may turn this into a bike night or something. Who knows? I'm just looking for another excuse to have some motorcycle related fun.

-Rusty

This sounds like a good time and (for once) it's actually close to home for me. I'm going to try and work it into my schedule.

Looks like the test run on 1/26 is a go. We're planning on showing "Full Circle: Four Decades of Baja Racing", the story of Malcolm Smith and JN Roberts winning the Baja 1000 in 1967, then teaming up to run it again in 2007 on a Husky TC510.

So, if anyone wants to swing by on Tuesday the 26th for some movies and pizza, just head on over to Pizza Shoppe next door to us at 7:00.

If you'd like some more info on the movie, check out the link below:

Wow, that sounds great! I've never heard of that movie before. I really enjoyed Dust to Glory and the various Baja coverage I've seen.

I have to imagine that seating is limited. What do you do when 300 people show up for Moto Movie Night?! 8)

Hey, CuzinMike, please feel free to post what movie is showing each time--we appreciate it.

Absolutely!

And I believe that the back room at PS holds about 50 people. If we start getting 300 we might have to start projecting them on the side of the building when the weather gets warmer... :D

This should be a fun movie to watch. I'm really looking forward to it.

After the movie, maybe we can start planning some rides for the spring!

Tonight's movie will be...

"The Doctor, The Tornado, and the Kentucky Kid." It's the story of the inaugural Red Bull USGP as told by Rossi, Edwards and Hayden.

Tomorrow's movie will be a return to the dirt:

One Chance to Win!

It's the story of the 1975 AMA 500cc MX championship. Lots of cool footage of greats like Lackey, Weinert, Karsmakers, Distefano and more!

I'm gonna try to make this one. 8)

Anybody from down South want to carpool? My plan is to leave from my office between 6:15 and 6:30. My office is at 87th St and I-35 in Lenexa. We could meet at my parking lot or I can come pick you up if it's not terribly out of the way.

I'm just a few blocks away from you but I leave work at 4:00 and still live up in God's Country.
