Advice for new Adv rider in south KC
Advice for new Adv rider in south KC
Getting my feet wet with a dual sport soon and want to know if there are any rides planned where I can familiarize myself with the area's trails.
Re: Advice for new Adv rider in south KC
Hi Ryan, Welcome to the group!
Depending on the type dual sport, there really isn't much in the way of, "local Trails". Some in the ride forum group ride gravel roads, especially North and West of the area.
Most would agree the best trails are in Arkansas....about four hours from KC. In Arkansas, there is an endless number of forest roads/trails that can be a challenging ride and beautiful scenery.
If you like off road dirt bike riding, one of the best riding parks in the midwest, Chadwick riding park, is located just southeast of Springfield. Chadwick has some very challenging trails.
There is a group, called TARKC, who get together once a month for dinner. The schedule is listed on this forum under the TAR thread. You are more than welcome to join us.
What kind of bike do you have?
