Is it open? I heard it was going under and re-opening as something similar (I think) in a few weeks?

Primary discussion topic for dinner tonight: Kendall & Alissa are threatening to move away. We have to stop this madness! Let's put all options on the table. Brain-washing? Kidnapping? Flaming bags of poo?

I actually LOL'd! I appreciate the concerns, but the ball has been set in motion and I don't think there is anything that can be done to stop it. At this point, the only way I could continue living in the Midwest is if everyone decides to pool together and fund my endless vacations to other riding destinations around the country.

I will bring my Paypal account information to dinner if that is the option that you want to go with. :D

Riding destinations?! Kendall, you live smack dab in the middle of the greatest riding on the planet! Why you've got the Flint Hills and a network of about 25,000 miles of perfectly straight, flat, dusty gravel roads right here in KS. And don't forget about the I-435 loop--that's some great riding there--try riding it the other direction and it's TOTALLY DIFFERENT! It's like 2 great adventures in one! The Rocky Mountains are just a hop, skip, and at least a 12 hour droning haul away. Arkansas is a mere 5 hours away. It does not get any better than this, man! Wake up!

...not to mention the best riding buds in the world. It's not like your wife is going to ride with...oh yeah, she does. Well, that's cool I guess. 8)

I couldn't have said it better myself! While I do have a soft spot for the area, I'm ready to try something different. 32 years in the Midwest, of which almost 20 I've spent dreaming about moving somewhere more conducive to my lifestyle is enough for now.

This is the part that sucks! I wish the friends that we've made could come along with us, but sadly that is not a possibility for a lot of people. That is why we are making the move NOW, before we get any further tied to the area. We'll miss everyone that we've gotten to know and ride with, but we may be able to get together somewhere in the future and ride some cool places again.

Kind of sounds like you are no longer thinking south missouri/North Arkansas?
