One week from tonight at 7:00 we will meet at Pizza Shoppe, 14121 Earthworks, Smithville, MO 64089. (next to motorcycle closeouts). Rusty and Keith will make a presentation on riding accessories and will be offering a discount to TAR members! (we don't have memberships, everybody who comes to the presentation gets the discount!) Hope to see everybody in a week.

December 4 meeting will be at Freedom Cycles at 6:30. Details coming soon!

Hope everybody had a good summer and is ready for some cooler fall riding weather. Listed below is the TAR meeting schedule and locations for the next 3 months. With the varied locations of TAR participants I've rotated the meeting locations between South, Midtown and North. Currently, we have one ride scheduled for the weekend of Oct. 12, 13, 14. The plan is to trailer somewhere south Missouri....maybe Springfield, Ozark etc. and then ride dual sport through the Mark Twain National Forest into the Ozark National Forest and then spend the first night in a motel in Ozark, AR. The second day ride the Ozark National Forest, possibly go over Mount Magazine the highest peak in AR, and then end up staying the night in Russellville, AR. The third day ride to Brock Creek and on back to our vehicles.

I figured that at our September meeting we could discuss this ride and any other rides. We've had several suggestions for other rides; Chadwick, Coopers Landing, Wauchita, White Rock, Millcreek, Collins, etc.

September 11, 7:00: Pizza Shoppe 13612 Washingto, KC MO. (Martin City)

October 2, 7:00:Charlie Hoopers, 12 W. 63rd St., KC MO 64113.

Oct. 12, 13, 14: Arkansas Ride.

November 13, 7:00: Pizza Shoppe, 14121 Earthworks, Smithville, MO 64089. (next to motorcycle closeouts) Rusty from Motorcycle Closeouts will make a presentation on dual sport equipment.

As usual everybody is invited and we are open to any suggestions!

Hey Randy! Good idea to have a TARKC sub forum here. That dual sport trip sounds like a good time, but I've already got plans to do a Chadwick ride that weekend. I'm sure whoever shows up for it will have a good time though and hopefully there will be some other similar multi-day rides planned that I can make.

Looking forward to meeting up again on the 11th and getting some rides planned. Hopefully, we will get a nice fall and a mild winter to get some riding in!

90% of the ride will not be on pavement so I would go with the xr650. I have a BMW GS and a KTM 450 and I'm taking the 450.
